I’ll Have a Tom Collins with a Side of Christian Grey: Books and Boozin’

Last week, Flavorwire posted two features that intrigued us twentysomethings. Because you may have missed them, I’m excited to share them with you now!

As a twentysomething myself, I know the sweet joy of finding the perfect bar --- you know, the one with the amazing bartender that makes your perfect drink and if you don't know what you want, can whip up a delicious something in seconds. The perfect bar is a place where the music isn’t too loud so that you can still hear what your friends are saying, but loud enough that you can escape your everyday struggles. Finding the perfect bar on a Friday night out on the town is just like finding that amazing book to sink into on a lazy Sunday morning. So when Flavorwire did a feature about the 15 amazing book-filled bars, we took notice. Take a look here and let us know if you’ve been to any of these 15 hotspots on our Facebook page.

Two of our staffers, Liz Kossner and Josh Mallory have been to The Library and are always ranting about how wonderful it is. I can’t wait to try it out!

If you’re more of a homebody, take a look at this Flavorwire feature, that pairs ten great novels with corresponding cocktails. Personally, I can’t wait to try a French 75 and I’ll unabashedly admit that it has everything to do with being paired with my favorite book, THE GREAT GATSBY.
